Testing Arrangements and Procedures

Before the day

an alphabetical list of students with names and dates of birth should be faxed or emailed to our office. (We will fax or email the names of absentees to the School shortly after the assessment day)
we should be notified of any students with special needs (sight, hearing or intellectual) so that provision, if necessary can be made
any special requests by a school should be given to our office
a sufficient quantity of school letterhead should be sent to our office if the parent report is to be printed on to school letterhead
a sample draft letter to parents will be provided, explaining the session.

On the day

students are required to arrive at the School not later than 8.30am (or earlier if desired by the School) to enable an 8.45am start
a recess break is held for 20 minutes approximately one hour 50 minutes after the commencement of the testing
students complete the morning at approximately 12.30-12.40pm
venues must be set up in exam style before the start time.

It is imperative (unless otherwise arranged) that students be seated ready to commence at 8.45am. Any disruption to this time frame (eg a late start) creates potential difficulties and may affect the validity of test outcomes.

For placement tests students will require a pen and in some instances a calculator (from Year 8 upwards) and a nutritional snack and drink for the break (some schools provide this). All other material required is provided by Robert Allwell and Associates.

For scholarship tests students require a pen and a nutritional snack and drink for the break. No calculators are permitted.
